If I were a way...

If I were a way, I wouldn’t be flat and straight right to the destination - I would have different surfaces, several bends, I’d have a lot of stops on the side. If I were a way, I would be easy, tempting and smooth to go, and deceptive, questionable, complicated and exhausting.

If I were a way, I would check the traveller`s endurance from time to time, even perhaps with purposefulness, confidence and perseverance. I’d have a lot of places for rest and entertainment with the opportunity to buy a ticket to stay for a symbolic price in charity events. As a way I would always be there - day or night, summer or winter, good times or crises - the traveller would never have to worry that I was not there. I would always be there and I would always be able to keep going from the same place, from the same last stop. Only the traveller, the one, who is pressed by comfort of settling down, would have to decide whether to go or not, to turn or to stay on the side. Only the traveller, the one with a restless spirit itching in his chest, would have to decide how long and how far to be with me.
